What Is Cross-Platform Play?
Cross-platform play means, to put it simply, that you can play a game on one type of device and have a user in the game that you’re playing with player on a different device with a different operating system.
Cross-platform play has become one of the most popular features in the world of video games over the past couple of years with high-profile games like Fortnite, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Rocket League, and others allowing players on different platforms to play with and against each other.
The popularity of cross-platform play has led to the communities of other online games to ponder if their favorite games would ever get this ability. One of these communities is for GTA V with many players now wondering if the game has this feature in 2020. Fortunately, we have everything you need to know regarding whether or not GTA V Online has cross-platform play in 2020.
Is GTA V Online Cross-Platform in 2020? The Answer
Unfortunately, players who were hoping that 2020 would be the year where they would be able to experience everything that the online game mode has to offer with players on other platforms will be disappointed. 2020 has not seen the arrival of cross-platform play for GTA V. Players on PC can still only play with other PC players. This is the same for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players.

Rockstar Games has not officially revealed any plans to introduce the popular feature into the game. There is a possibility that it could be a feature in the next entry in the iconic franchise, but there are no official announcements regarding if or when that will be arriving, so players will have to wait before they learn if cross-platform will be coming to GTAV Online for a future entry in the series.
