As Fortnite players jump in and explore Season 8, they’ll inevitably run across one of these Turret Donation Boards. To help you better understand what they’re for, we’ve put together a guide explaining what Turret Donation Boards are in Fortnite!

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 | What Are Turret Donation Boards?

In Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8, Turret Donation Boards look a bit like an information board with flyers on it. However, if you interact with this board, you’ll see that Turret Donation Boards aren’t for Quests or information… so what are they for?

Well, they’re for players to express their opinions regarding things like the placement of Mounted Turrets. Later on in Season 8, other Donation Board opportunities will pop up regarding things like weapons that should be unvaulted.

With that in mind, you could say Donation Boards are more akin to polling booths. By using these Donation Boards, you’ll be able to add your input on things that could potentially be added to the game.

For example, the first thing you’ll encounter in regards to Donation Boards in Fortnite are in reference to Turret Stations and where you’d like to see Turret Stations built.

Speaking on the matter of Turret Stations, Epic Games explained:

“Your first act of influence? With fellow Loopers across the Island, donate the Bars you earn to construction sites where you want to see Turret Stations built up. In the future, we’ll need you to come together and decide which new weapons to develop, which ones to unvault, and more.”

Turret Donation Boards are located throughout the map, but can most commonly be found near named locations like Weeping Woods or Boney Burbs.

At the present moment, there’s a lot that remains unknown about these new Donation Boards from how many Bars it’ll cost you to vote (the current Turret Donation Boards cost 50 Bars), to how long players will have to vote before the votes are tallied.

Once we’re a bit deeper into Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8, we imagine we’ll be able to learn a lot more about Donation Boards from the aforementioned unknowns, to the sort of things players can vote for at these Donation Board locations like weapons to unvault and new weapons to introduce.

Now that you know the basics of Turret Donation Boards in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8, we’re curious to hear what you think about this new addition. Do you like the idea of Donation Boards? Is there anything in particular that you’d like to see on those Donation Boards to vote for?
