Earlier this week, Electronic Arts showcased its box art for the next-generation versions of Battlefield 4 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, showing off what Microsoft’s design for games would be for its just-announced next-gen system. Today, Microsoft community spokesperson Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb confirmed that it’ll be mean and green.
Hyrb posted the official box art for Forza Motorsport 5 on his blog page, showing its sleek dark green design, with the words “Xbox One” imprinted on the top. The box art gets right to the point, featuring a savvy sports car taking a turn as well as the insignia for Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft in the corner. On top of that, it looks like the folks at Top Gear are returning for the sequel, which is always a good thing considering their vehicular savvy.
It’s good to see the design isn’t too far off from the original Xbox 360 design and with darker green cases as well. They’re going to look awesome on a book shelf.
The Xbox One and Forza Motorsport 5 are expected to release later this year.
