Wii Mini Coming To U.S. Store Shelves This Month

Get the micro-sized system with a copy of Mario Kart Wii for $100.

The Wii Mini, a shrunken down version of its popular motion-based console, originally came out in Canada last year, offering a decently valued system for around $100, although one that isn’t compatible with GameCube games, nor any sort of online connectivity.

Today, Nintendo announced that the system would finally make its way to the U.S. later this month in a new powerhouse bundle, arriving just in time for the holidays.

For $100, users will get a smaller, red-and-black version of the console, along with a red Wii Motion Plus controller and the hit racing game Mario Kart Wii. A decent value, to be sure, but like the previous edition released in Canada, it features no online interactivity, and also only has one USB port for accessory plug-ins.

No word on an exact release date, but we should see the system on store shelves in time for Black Friday later this month.
