The world would be a little better with more eco-friendly consciousness and The Sims 4 is no different with its newly announced expansion.

Once a wasteland now becomes a beautiful landscape just awaiting new memories to be formed and this also marks a perfect way for players with a green thumb to let their creativity fly.

The best part of this expansion? It’s not a PC-only launch as we’ve seen in the past! The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle DLC pack will launch on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 5th. Players will be able to take a more green approach in their simulated worlds which aims to make the title even more realistic while also acting as a great teaching tool for those looking to be a little greener IRL!

“We’re thrilled to give players the opportunity to explore an eco-friendly way of living in The Sims and play the change they want to see,” said George Pigula, Producer of The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack. “By discovering and practicing sustainable habits, like using solar panels or wind turbines to power their electricity, or upcycling materials to create new furniture, players and their Sims can play with life in all-new ways.”

The new Sims 4 expansion will add Evergreen Harbor, a new world where players can have a more direct influence on how the environment is and implement ways to treat this planet right. Every decision matters and the teaching potential here is incredible! Learn how to lay solar panels, how wind turbines work, how to collect dew and compost – it’s an awesome intersection of real-life and simulation during a time when climate change is a very hot topic.

Sims players can also make their communities an even better place as well with the implementation of the Community Voting Board, a tool that will lay out neighborhood plans, eco-friendly goals for the entire area, even setting up a community-friendly space for all to hang out and make the world a little bit better. “Sims can also pursue new careers like a Civil Designer to inspire others to give back to the environment or check out a path as a Freelance Crafter to fill orders for your candles, fizzy juices, upcycled objects, and more.”

The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle expansion pack officially arrives on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on June 5th! Are you excited for even more Sims 4 content?
