Sea Of Thieves Season 5 Now Lets My Pirate’s Lazy Butt Sit Down

Finally I can rest my tired peg leg.

This morning Sea of Thieves showed us what players can expect from the upcoming fifth season of content for the game. If you’ve been on land a little too long and aren’t aware, Sea of Thieves has a battle pass (Plunder Pass) and seasonal events now!

Sea Of Thieves Season 5 Now Lets My Pirate’s Lazy Butt Sit Down

You can check out a bunch of the new additions coming in Season 5, but the one that has us the most excited is sitting. Every live-service game eventually gets the sitting update, ya know the one that finally lets you sit on the furniture, or the ground, or maybe even a comfortable ethereal couch.

You can also bury your own treasure if you want to live like a real pirate. Then you can take a custom treasure map of the location and have other players try to dig it up. If they find it, you’ll get the reputation you would have if you delivered it yourself.

If you’re someone who likes to use the rowboat for more stealthy takedowns, you’re in luck. Rare decided to strap a cannon to the rowboat now so you can really do some damage.

Of course, the update also comes with a brand new plunder pass with 100 tiers and unique rewards for reaching Pirate Legend status.

If you feel like spending some real money, you can purchase item sets inspired by Disney’s Pirates of The Caribbean.

All of this information can be found in the trailer at the bottom of this article. Anyway, I’m going to go sit down in real life, and then load up Sea of Thieves to sit down there too when the update launches on December 2.
