Rock Band 3/Blitz Update Brings Queensryche, Staind This Tuesday

Plus you'll get a Flys song that you really shouldn't miss out on.

Harmonix’s Rock Band updates may be coming to an end on April 2nd, but that doesn’t mean the developer intends to go out quietly.

The creator of the hit music/rhythm franchise has announced its latest download content for it, which will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network and the Wii eShop this coming Tuesday.  And this time around, it’s bringing the rock.

Leading the pack is the noteworthy rock ballad “Silent Lucidity” from Queensryche, along with two songs from Staind – “It’s Been Awhile” and “So Far Away”, also exceptional slow rock songs that are good for band jams.  And even if you’ve never heard of them before, you’ll want to give a listen to The Flys, as their song “Got You (Where I Want You)” is great, too.

“Silent Lucidity” and “So Far Away” have optional pro guitar/bass expansions for $1.00 (80 Microsoft points) apiece, and “Got You (Where I Want You)” has full keyboard support, for those who still have ’em.  The songs will set you back $1.99 (160 Microsoft points) each.

Rock on, you crazy kids.
