Destiny – Pirsis, Pallas-Bane

by Prima Games Staff

This page will show you how to find and kill Pirsis, Pallas-Bane at The Divide on Earth. It is part of the Destiny: House of Wolves expansion.

Before you set out to find your target, visit The Reef and speak to Petra Venj. She is located just to the left when you first arrive. Her stock refreshes every Tuesday at 5:00 AM EST, so if you don’t see the Bounty you are looking for you might have to wait, or it could be sitting in your Inventory. We speak from experience on that one. Even if you don’t have the Bounty, you can still kill this target for a reward, you just won’t get the Queen’s Wrath credit for your work.

Wanted: Pirsis, Pallas-Bane

Leave the Vestian Outpost and go to Orbit. Select the option to Patrol on Earth, and then grab your Sparrow when you spawn in. There is a building directly behind you, and you want to pass through that to get to your target. You can walk if you want, but it is possible to ride your Sparrow all the way through. Several enemies will try to shoot at you, but with some slick driving and a little luck, you should make it to The Divide in one piece.

It can take up to 10 minutes for this event to begin, so our advice is to take a right when you get to The Divide and look for a very high poll that sits next to a building. You can jump from the building and perch up on that pole, and it’s a great place to snipe random foes while you’re killing time. In addition, it’s not a bad place to engage your target from if you have a weapon such as the Ice Breaker. Just don’t sit up there if you’re trying to solo this, as you will not be able to deal enough damage before Pirsis, Pallas-Bane gets bored and leaves.

The event will begin when you get a message that A Pack of Wolves is Prowling. A Fallen Skiff will drop off the first of several waves, and during the first wave you want to pay special attention to the Scorch Captains. Kill them and take their Scorch Cannons, using these 10-shot weapons to obliterate your foes all the way through to the final wave. If your aim is true and you get lucky, you might even be able to use this to put a hurting on your primary target.

Besides the Scorch Cannons, be sure to use your Super Ability, Grenade, and your Heavy Ammunition during the final wave. If there are several of you, this should be enough to win the fight. If it’s just you, it will be tougher, but still doable. Think seriously about trying to engage your foes with the Vestian Dynasty, a Secondary Weapon designed to be used against the Fallen.

When Pirsis, Pallas-Bane is down you’ll get a message about an Ether Key, and a timer that gives you 90 seconds to find a nearby chest. It can spawn in several locations, including a very tucked away corner that is hard to spot if you don’t know where to look. Try following other Guardians if they are around, as there is almost always someone there who knows where to go. If not, look for a thin beam of light shooting out of the top of the chest, helping to mark its location.

When you have done all that there is to do, either head back to The Reef to claim your reward, or head right back out there to complete another Bounty. If you choose the latter, visit our Destiny: House of Wolves Walkthrough and Guide for help with all your activities.
