How to Level in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader
To level your characters in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, you’ll want to progress until you see your party members have several yellow arrows on their portraits at the top of your screen. At this point, you’ll want to either press C, RT, or R2 on your controller to open up the Character menu.
From here, navigate to Archetypes and you should see each Archetype your characters currently hold. Select the lowest Archetype, then select whichever node has yet to be upgraded. This will let you select whatever is possible for that node and level it. Once done, simply back out and confirm the upgrades for that character. Do that for every character, and you’re free to proceed.
As for how you should level each individual character, that’s your decision based on what you want out of that character. For example, I want both Abelard and Heinrix van Calox to be frontliners, so I gave them both Vanguard as their secondary Archetypes. From there, I chose stats and abilities based on what I felt I was lacking at the time. Don’t worry too much about the options, since you’ll have plenty of opportunities to level whatever you’d like.
What’s the Easiest Way to Level Up?
If you want to level up fast, then the best way to do so is to complete main and side missions. Exploration can get you a fair bit of experience as well, but it’s nowhere near as fast or efficient. Make sure to do as many side missions as you can, since that will prepare you the best for main encounters.
