Luckily, this patch addresses almost none of the actual problems players have been talking about on the internet. While it does address some of the crashes, it doesn’t seem to fix the horrible shader problems. Here are the official patch notes from the Naughty Dog website.

Patch Notes

  • Fixed several performance & hitch related issues impacting some users.
    • Note: Additional improvements and investigations based on user feedback are underway.
  • Added extra crash diagnostic information to assist in investigating shader building related crashes and other common reported stability issues.

That’s it; that’s all of the patch notes for this hotfix. While it seems Naughty Dog is working on a much larger patch to address more of the core issues players are experiencing, at least the game will crash less now, hopefully.
