While there are various passive creatures in Satisfactory, you might wonder if they could be tamed. Out of all the creatures in the game, you can tame only one creature, the Lizard Doggo. Luckily, it is also the cutest out of all of them. Here’s how to tame a Lizard Doggo in Satisfactory and every benefit you can get from keeping it as a pet.

How to Pet and Tame a Lizard Doggo in Satisfactory

When you encounter a Lizard Doggo in the wild, you’ll notice how the creature is extremely passive and runs away when you start to go near. Every time you are a few meters away from the Lizard Doggos, they will run away. You can chase them because they move slowly, especially if you have Blade Runners or a Jetpack. However, without taming them first, you’ll only be able to pet them.

To tame these Lizard Doggos, you need a Paleberry. Once you have one or two Paleberries, approach the Lizard Doggo, but not close enough that you’ll scare it away. Wait until the Lizard Doggo looks at you. Once you have its attention, you can drop a single Paleberry on the floor, and it’ll approach the Paleberry. If it doesn’t notice you, it’ll still notice the Paleberry on the floor and approach it when it does.

Once it eats the Paleberry that you dropped, the Lizard Doggo is officially tamed. The Lizard Doggo smiles in excitement after eating and should follow you around.

What Does the Lizard Doggo Give You in Satisfactory?

When you interact with your tamed Lizard Doggo, you’ll see an inventory pop up with one available slot. This is because the Lizard Doggo will randomly fetch items for you. The random pool of items gives you all the types of ores, slugs, consumable food from the overworld, flora, fauna, a FICSIT cup, and some Rifle Ammo.

You can check and pet your Lizard Doggo from time to time to take the items. However, anything other than slugs is probably useless. Players mostly use the Lizard Doggo’s inventory space to dispose of nuclear waste. However, the process is extremely tedious, and it involves killing the Lizard Doggo after dumping a stack of nuclear waste on it and taming another one when it respawns.

Who’d want to disrespect a cute Lizard Doggo like that? If you are thinking about doing this, just get an efficient nuclear power setup that automatically disposes of nuclear waste.
