How to Recruit Yuffie in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (FF7)
Love her or hate her, Yuffie’s a bossy ball of energy that you simply can’t ignore. In the original Final Fantasy VII, you could recruit her as soon as you finished the Mythril Mines if you wandered around the forests scattered across the world map. From there, you just had to defeat her in combat and speak to her. But FF7 Rebirth is far different, and you won’t be able to recruit her until Costa del Sol.
You’ll encounter Yuffie once you arrive in Under Junon in Chapter 4. And while there are multiple moments where it seems like she’s intent on joining you, she’ll dance away from the opportunity. At least until the very tail end of Chapter 6. She’ll help you once you get backed into a corner. And after the dust settles, she’ll confront Cloud head-on and offer him a challenge. If she beats him, he has to join her, and if Cloud beats her, she’ll join him.
Not a bad deal, I guess. But if you agree, she’ll run off in fear before scuttling right back. This time, you’ll be able to have Yuffie join you officially. So, to recruit Yuffie in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you just have to wait until the end of Chapter 6, where you can simply agree to let her join you. It’s an encounter that’s impossible to miss, and she’ll play no small part in the main scenario ahead.
Yuffie will come equipped with her iconic 4-Point Shuriken and Savage Dagger, making her a potent mid-to-long-range threat. But you’ll want to get her equipped with her Folios as soon as possible to see her really shine.
