We’ve been getting a number of interesting announcements from Epic Games as we inch closer to the start of Chapter 2 – Season 5 in Fortnite.
One in particular seems to have caught the attention of Fortnite players more than others as it heralds the arrival of a brand new subscription service called Fortnite Crew.

Everything You Need to Know About Fortnite Crew
Fortnite Crew is a brand new subscription service for Fortnite that’ll be available once Chapter 2 – Season 5 begins on December 2. Should you decide to become a Fortnite Crew subscriber for $11.99 (USD) per month, you’ll receive the following items (info courtesy of Epic Games):
- Battle Pass included for the full Season.
- 1,000 V-Bucks each month to use in the Item Shop.
- Exclusive Fortnite Crew Pack each month with an always-new Outfit Bundle that only Fortnite Crew members can get.

Not only will Fortnite Crew members get the Galaxia Outfit and Style, they’ll also get a Cosmic Llamacorn Pickaxe and Fractured World Back Bling in December.
As previously noted, these items will only be available to Fortnite Crew members and won’t be made available at a later date in the Item Shop.
If you want the Galaxia Outfit, you’ll need to be a Fortnite Crew member. Now, you may be wondering how the subscription process itself works.
In an FAQ page for Fortnite Crew, Epic Games runs through a list of useful things to know, all of which we’ve included for you below.
- You can purchase a Fortnite Crew subscription from the Item Shop or Battle Pass purchase screen. Subscription cost is $11.99 (USD) per month.
- You can cancel your Fortnite Crew subscription at any time. To do this, you’ll need to go directly in-game and navigate to the Fortnite Crew tab where you’ll be guided through the cancellation process.
- Note that even when you cancel, your Fortnite Crew membership will remain effective until the end of the billing monthly period. After cancelling, you’ll be able to keep all previously awarded Battle Passes, V-Bucks, and Crew Packs.
- If you previously purchased the Battle Pass for Season 5, a one-time 950 V-Bucks return will be applied to your account.
- Your Fortnite Crew subscription is associated with the platform on which you purchased it (your “Primary Platform”) until it is cancelled and is not transferable.
Overall, the Fortnite Crew membership sounds like a great opportunity for die-hard Fortnite players to get exclusive items on a regular basis. In terms of monetary value, the Fortnite Crew membership is also a solid deal as 1,000 V-Bucks are priced at $7.99 (USD) while the Battle Pass can be purchased for 950 V-Bucks.
You’re also getting exclusive cosmetics like the Galaxia Outfit and Style along with a Cosmic Llamacorn Pickaxe and Fractured World Back Bling in December.
The Galaxia Outfit won’t be made available for purchase in the Item Shop at a later date, but for the sake of value, we imagine the bundle would be worth around 2,000 V-Bucks (if you compare it to something like the Venom Outfit Bundle which is priced at 2,000 V-Bucks in the Item Shop).
Basically you’re getting over 3,000 V-Bucks worth of stuff if you add up the 1,000 V-Bucks you receive, the 950 V-Bucks you save on the Battle Pass, and the 2,000 or so V-Bucks you save on an exclusive Outfit Set each month.
Given that you can buy 2,800 V-Bucks for $19.99, you essentially save over $7.99 each month. It works out great if you’re someone who always buys the Battle Pass and someone who enjoys shopping in the Item Shop.
It also makes a great gift if you’re looking to get a Fortnite lover an all-in-one with a Battle Pass subscription, 1,000 V-Bucks, and the exclusive Galaxia Outfit.
