There are a lot of great reasons to love Diablo 4. Whether it be the surprisingly great story, excellently designed cutscenes, enjoyable experience of leveling to get stronger and stronger, or even some of the bigger world events, there’s a lot to be enjoyed. That is, provided you ignore just how cumbersome the HUD elements can be. Thankfully, some fan-favorite mods from the last entry in the series that fix that problem are making a return. Here’s everything you need to know about Diablo 4 and TurboHUD, and whether it’s a thing for the new game.

What Is TurboHUD, and Is It Available in Diablo 4?

TurboHUD is a mod for Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls that introduced many quality-of-life fixes to make that game easier. These fixes included things like extra item details, extended stats, a more detailed map, and much more. These are all things you could mostly access without the mod, but accessing them became much easier thanks to being displayed right where you’d first expect.

Diablo 4 has a solid HUD, though many quality-of-life features could make it much better. That’s why I’m happy to say that Diablo 4 will be getting its form of TurboHUD, though the mod isn’t done yet. The official page for the mod says that it’s imminent, and that you can sign up for the beta through its official form. Beyond that, the team hasn’t given an official release date.

What Will TurboHUD Do in Diablo 4?

TurboHUD will bring many features fans have been asking for to the game. The site above lists that the map will be fully revealed from the get-go, toggleable plugins will be available, a visible count for any legendaries you missed in the wild, and trackers for things like experience and items. The images included on the site give further insight, showing the names of different markers on your map at a glance (without needing to hover over individual ones). You’ll also see a counter for your current Primary Resource, a full map reveal on dungeons, and names on Aspects without the need to hover over them.

How Do You Sign Up for the TurboHUD Beta?

Signing up for the beta of TurboHUD is fairly simple. If you go to the aforementioned link for the mod page, there’ll be a link for beta signups. Sign in through Discord, then fill out the form including details like your current Diablo 4 level (on your highest character), whether you play with friends, and whether you have experience with TurboHUD plugins. With any luck, you’ll get access to the beta! Just be ready for it to be buggy, as the program is still in testing.
