Today, the third episode of CD Projekt RED’s Night City Wire aired, giving eager fans more information about this November’s Cyberpunk 2077. During the show, which also provided information on the game’s various gang factions and a tour of Night City itself, the PC system requirements were also revealed.

Cyberpunk 2077 System Requirements

Cyberpunk 2077, another CD Projekt RED project based on an underutilized IP, is set to be a massive game. It’s a Witcher-style expanse, but all set in a huge open world city, with tons of different possible character configurations, builds, looks, and more. It’s also a first-person shooter, so all of that together sounds pretty monstrous. Luckily, it seems like in terms of contemporary PC builds, the requirements for Cyberpunk 2077 could have been a lot worse. Here’s the full breakdown, as seen on the Night City Wire stream:

Minimum System Requirements

  • OS - 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 10
  • DirectX Version - DirectX 12
  • Processor - Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310
  • Memory - 8 GB
  • Graphics Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 470
  • Storage - HDD (70 GB), SSD recommended

Recommended System Requirements

  • OS - 64-bit Windows 10
  • DirectX Version - DirectX 12
  • Processor - Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
  • Memory - 12 GB
  • Graphics Card - NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6 GB or AMD Radeon R9 Fury
  • Storage SSD (70 GB)

Those minimum requirements look pretty generous, even! Sure, you might only be playing Cyberpunk 2077 on low settings and 720p or something, but you won’t have to stress to upgrade if your system is a bit behind. Also, I bet Cyberpunk 2077 is an excellent candidate for some lo-fi CRT gaming, but only if you’re a weirdo (like me) into that kind of thing.

Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to consoles as well of course, and it’ll be debuting on current-gen platforms when it arrives. But CD Projekt RED has already confirmed the next-gen update will be available, and free, as soon as it’s ready. Considering the game is launching after the new consoles, there might be a bit of a wait. But it’ll probably be worth the wait!
