When it comes to truly unique titles, indie games steal the spotlight, as well as your heart. In Dave The Diver, you play the titular hero as you dive into the ocean blue, looking for delicious fish to serve at night in your boss’s Sushi Restaurant. Between searching for a variety of unique fish, weapons, and items to the grind of serving your favorite patrons their most sought-after dish, you may be wondering if Dave The Diver is a little more mobile than originally anticipated. Let’s strap on our gear and head into the ocean ourselves to find out if it is playable on Steam Deck.
Can You Play Dave The Diver On Steam Deck?
Great news for aspiring divers, Dave is ready to make his moves on the go with full Steam Deck verification. Jumping into this world on the go feels incredible, thanks to perfect controller integration. While Dave the Diver may not be the most graphically impressive game that you can take on the go, the fact that it runs at a silky smooth 60 FPS on the portable helps the action feel as fresh as the fish that you’re serving.
Pair that with the crisp visuals on display, and you’re in for a great time, no matter if you decide to sit down in front of your PC for some big-screen action, or want to test your skills on the smaller screen. Dave The Diver never suffers from a lack of vision, so you’ll always be able to keep your eyes on the prize, even if some of the tiny fish are somewhat difficult to see at times. I may just need to up the prescription on my glasses, though.
Does Dave The Diver Have Cloud Saves On Steam Deck?
While it may feel like it’s almost a necessary thing, there are still a fair number of Steam games that don’t take advantage of the cloud save functionality. While I love playing Session on my Steam Deck, the fact that I can’t bring my progress back to my PC feels brutal. Thankfully, Dave the Diver comes in swinging once again, providing full Cloud save functionality.
For those unfamiliar with the process, you can play Dave the Diver on your PC, and as long as you are connected to the internet, the saved data will be backed up, allowing you to pick up and play wherever you may roam, as long as you Steam Deck is also connected to the internet. If you’re heading out on a trip or an adventure, make sure that you connect to the internet before heading out to ensure you have the most recent saved data on your portable PC.
