Can You Change the Difficulty in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth?

When starting a new game in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, there are no difficulty options to choose from. There is also none to change between as the game progresses; there is only the default difficulty setting for the main game.

There are difficulty settings once you beat the game, but it takes more than clearing the game to unlock them.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth New Game+ Difficulty Options

The different difficulty settings in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth are available in New Game+. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth’s New Game+ mode has three difficulty options:

  • Normal.
  • Hard.
  • Legend.

You can choose between these three difficulty settings when starting a New Game+ save from the Settings menu.

How to Unlock New Game+ In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

To access New Game+ in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, you must have at least one cleared save file. You must also have purchased either the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of the game, since New Game+ is not available in the Standard Edition of Infinite Wealth.

Are There Any Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Achievements Tied to the Difficulty?

Although changing the game’s difficulty is tied to DLC, there are two achievements tied to Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth’s difficulty setting:

  • One for completing New Game+ on Hard difficulty.
  • And one for completing New Game+ on Legend difficulty.
