Best Characters to Equip with Golden Troupe in Genshin Impact

An artifact that doesn’t tailor to one character? Say it ain’t so!

Golden Troupe proves to have interesting effects that may just be game-breakers for some of our old characters. I personally cannot wait to see just what type of builds we’re going to see spawn from Travelers all over. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Genshin Impact come out with an artifact set that isn’t specifically tailored for one character included within that same banner. But with Golden Troupe’s release, we once again have returned to more universal set effects that are good for more than just one character. Here are the best characters to equip the Golden Troupe on in Genshin Impact.

Golden Troupe Artifact Effects in Genshin Impact

2-Piece Set: Increases Elemental Skill Damage by 20%.

4-Piece Set: Increases Elemental Skill Damage by 25%. Additionally, when not on the field, Elemental Skill Damage will be further increased by 25%. This effect will be cleared 2 seconds after taking the field.

To clarify and give you the best advice as to who will benefit the most from Golden Troupe, we will be looking at specifically the 4-Piece Set Effect. Golden Troupe is meant to greatly increase the Damage and Effectiveness of Elemental Skills which means this set is best on Fischl, Xiangling, Yae Miko, Albedo, and Nahida.

Fischl

Fischl’s primary role in battle is to deal off-field Electro Damage by leaving Oz on the field. Oz will periodically deal Electro damage, helping out Travelers to trigger Reactions that will cause more damage against their enemies. Golden Troupe’s 4-Piece effect really begins to shine with Fischl out of all the other characters in Genshin Impact as of 4.0. Combine with her canon in-game weapon Mitternachts Waltz and your Fischl will become an Electro-applicator machine.

Xiangling

Xiangling is on here as a bit of a joke because I really can’t wait to see just how powerful Guoba can become with this artifact set. Theoretically, Xiangling is best used for her Pyro Polearm Spin in her Elemental Burst, but restoring Guoba to the god-like deity that he once was is much more entertaining to me than the meta of the game. This is probably why we’ll never see a Sacrificial Polearm because Travelers everywhere would be gearing out with two powerful and destructive Guoba’s that could easily take down the rest of the Harbingers. This story would be done if we were allowed to build Xiangling to her true potential.

Yae Miko

Yae Miko is quite similar to Fischl in that she leaves behind these Fox-Stakes, or the Sesshou Sakura, to deal off-field damage with Electro based on her Elemental Mastery. She’s great for the Golden Troupe Artifact Set since you’re likely to use this Glass Canon and place her Sesshou Sakura on the field before trading her out for another character in your party. This will allow you to better build into her Elemental Mastery and make the grind for her kit just a bit easier.

Albedo

As always, our Alchemist from Dragonspine, Albedo, is a bit of a special case as the Golden Troupe is a great artifact set depending on how you specifically use Albedo in your team. There are many ways to use Albedo, whether you build more into his Elemental Skill or his Elemental Burst, and Golden Troupe is an artifact that is going to benefit Albedo’s Elemental Skill most of all. Albedo places down a Solar Isotoma or flower that deals AOE Geo Damage upon placement and follows up with periodic Geo Damage to enemies that are within the area. The potential damage Golden Troupe can boost Albedo’s on-field and off-field damage is enough to include him on this list. But of course, it depends on how you personally have built your Albedo.

Nahida

Nahida’s Skill is special since it’s an off-field target that’ll continue to deal damage to enemies as long as your trigger reactions against them. Nahida’s Tri-Karma Purification comes into effect once she captures up to eight enemies within her line of sight during her Elemental Skill. And that effect will then deal Dendro damage each time an Elemental Reaction is triggered against those targeted enemies.

Bonus Characters that Benefit from Golden Troupe in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact is returning to some pretty basic functions when it comes to coming out with new artifact sets, probably in preparation for future characters on the way, but this can lead to a lot of potential for characters already out. Even if you don’t get the full set on your characters, just the 2-Piece Effect alone can increase the Elemental Skill Damage, so here’s a list of honorable mentions that can benefit from Golden Troupe.

  • Cyno: Increases the damage of his Elemental Skill both by itself and in combination with his Burst.
  • Heizou: Talk about literally packing a punch.
  • Itto: Laughably hilarious to launch Ushi at your enemies.
  • Sayu: Just run over your enemies.
  • Diluc: Pair with Sacrificial Blade and tear down your path with your Skill alone.
  • Xingqui: Sub-DPS just got an upgrade.
  • Yunjin and Beidou: Maybe you’ll have better timing than me
  • Razor: Similar to Cyno, can work both in and out of his Burst
  • Lisa: Stack conducts and then hold to increase damage even more against your opponent
  • Kaeya: Making the most flexible character all the easier to build. You have so many options

The great thing about Golden Troupe and even Marechaussee Hunter is that they do return to an easier formula. They aren’t meant for just one or two characters, they can be mixed and matched, equipped onto multiple characters that probably haven’t seen the light of day in a while and just improve their builds. Brush the dust off and let Guoba run free. Don’t forget to head over to our Best Characters for the Marechaussee Hunter Guide so you’re better prepared for the grind for Lyney and other characters.
