With Season 5 of Battlefield 2042, a few older weapons got some love. One of these is the ACW-R, which now has access to a bunch of new attachments that have instantly made it a very competitive assault rifle. Here we will go over two of the best builds you can run on the ACW-R in Battlefield 2042.

Mid-range

Muzzle: Warhawk Compensator

Sight: Ghost Hybrid 1.5-4x

Underbarrel: Cobra Grip

Magazine: Standard Issue / Extended

With the above setup, the ACW-R can easily stay on target while you dump mags into opponents from a fair distance. While it isn’t going to be competing with any DMRs, its Time to Kill is respectable at any range. Most notably with this setup, you want to ensure you are attacking from the sides of engagements and catching your opponent off guard.

Short-range

Muzzle: Wrapped Suppressor

Sight: Fusion Holo

Underbarrel: STNR Laser Sight

Magazine: Standard Issue

When the rifle is set up with these attachments it can outshine several SMGs when engaging in close battles. While its rate of fire might not be the most competitive, it allows for more sustained gunfights against a few opponents. Keep a slight distance from your target, and most shotguns cannot take you down fast enough to stop you. I recommend taking Zain with this loadout, as his heal-after-kill ability will allow you to keep moving and shooting with health constantly flowing back in.

Now you know how to make the most of this recently refreshed assault rifle. Why not check out some of our other Battlefield 2042 weapons guides now that Season 5 is out? I recommend the GEW-46 build, as this new assault rifle can fit a few different niches once fully unlocked.
