Spiritomb is an especially mysterious Pokémon, supposedly formed by unifying 108 spirits. Pokémon GO players can encounter Spiritomb for themselves thanks to the Spiritomb Limited Research tasks, active throughout both halves of the Halloween 2023 event.

There is only one part to these research tasks, but they revolve around the unlucky number 108 to keep in theme with Spiritomb’s spirits, so it’s best to get cracking on them sooner rather than later. Read on for more information about the Spiritomb Limited Research tasks and rewards.

Tips for Completing the Spiritomb Limited Research Tasks

You’ll naturally earn Stardust and XP as you try to make Nice Throws, Curveball Throws, and use Berries to help catch Pokémon, but you can still use a Star Piece to increase the Stardust you receive by 50% for 30 minutes, and a Lucky Egg to double the XP you gain for 30 minutes.

If you find a Ghost-type Pokémon in the wild, prioritize catching it, as it will also count towards completing most of the Halloween Timed Research Tasks, which we’ve compiled a handy guide for.
