EA tackled every aspect of golf with their reintroduction title: EA Sports PGA Tour – Road to the Masters. One of the simulator’s prime features is the shot type and the many selections.
All-in-all, there are 20 different shot types to choose from to ensure you have a solution for every situation, whether you land in the rough, bunker, or somewhere in between the trees. These shots are broken down into four categories, making it easier to establish when and in what scenario to use them.
Here Prima Games have listed all the shot types and if it’s easy, medium, or hard to pull off the shot. What also plays a part is the new tech: Pure Strike. To learn more about Pure Strike, you can read: EA Sports PGA Tour – Road to the Masters Pure Strike Explained

Practice Makes Perfect in Road to the Masters
The easiest swing to execute is a long swing, where timing is the key factor. Like in real life, it is in Road to the Masters; the closer you get to the greens, the more complex the game becomes when using your clubs.
Although there are many hard shots to pull off in the game, it doesn’t mean they are impossible to execute cleanly over time. The only way to get familiar with the game’s mechanics is to practice and do so as often as possible.
There are many ways to practice in the game, and if you’re struggling with parts of your short game, long game, or both, you should do the challenges before getting into any tournaments or big events.

Challenges are the best way to learn and get rewarded while learning, making it worthwhile. There are challenges for every shot and game situation, and most importantly, you can restart as many times as you would like to get all three stars — getting all three stars should be standard procedure.
Although there are 20 shot types listed, EA states there are about 1300 shot variations in the game, so you’re not short of options and solutions.
