The main purpose of mounts in Diablo 4 is to help you get from point A to B faster. After all, while fast traveling is reliable, it’s only accessible after unlocking Waypoints! Until then, you have to walk on foot or ride your favorite horse into battle. There are five characters in Diablo 4, each with unique dismount abilities. All five skills, their descriptions, and damage types are listed below.
Diablo 4 Barbarian Dismount Ability – Bounding Slam
- Leap from your mount and pummel the ground twice, dealing [46+] damage and Stunning enemies.
- Physical damage: requires a ranged weapon
Diablo 4 Druid Dismount Ability – Pummel
- Shapeshift into a Werebear as you leap from your mount and slam the ground, dealing [62+] damage and Knocking Down enemies hit for 2.5 seconds.

Diablo 4 Necromancer Dismount Ability – Bone Spikes
- Leap from your mount and slam the ground, unleashing trails of spikes that deal [36+] damage and Stun enemies for 2 seconds.

- Leap upward from your mount and unleash a volley of arrows, dealing [36+] damage.
- Physical damage: requires a ranged weapon
Diablo 4 Sorcerer Dismount Ability – Freezing Wake
- Crystallize into a rushing wisp of ice, dealing [34+] damage and Freezing enemies in your path for 2 seconds.
