The game showcases medium to long range combat. There are many areas on the map that provide cover and defense. While the streets of this map are full of rubble and destruction, this can be an advantage to you. The lower level streets are great for cover, but they leave you wide open for snipers. There great vantage points for snipers to take out the competition. While taking cover, always be aware that an active volcano is not far away.
The lava from the active volcano is a danger to everyone on the map. If you come to close to rocks or other debris that are covered in lava, you will take damage. The damage will pile up very quickly, so you need to be aware of this at all times.
This map is a reimaging of the classic Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 map entitled Firing Range. The map takes place in Hollywood, California on the back lots of a movie studio. The back lots are set for classic film genres. The genres include sci-fi and westerns. The map even includes nods to Jurassic Park and Godzilla. The layout of the map is almost identical to that of Firing Range from the original Black Ops. If you are familiar with that map, this is the map for you.
This map is identical to Firefight from the original Black Ops and the same rules apply. Combat is normally heavy around the western saloon so be sure to watch your back. There is going to be plenty of close combat in this map so you want to prepare for that. Short range weapons like SMGs and pistols will do well here. Grenades will also prove very useful in this map.
This map is a lot of fun and the setting is very unique. Snipers who can take positions at the saloon and the castle tower can dominate this map. From these two positions, the map can be taken over and controlled by your team.
This may be the most unique map in the Uprising pack. It is similar to the Highrise map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The map takes place in a skyscraper in Mumbai, India. Treyarch promises “new dimensions of verticality to every battle.” You must battle across a VTOL landing pad and through the transportation terminal. This map truly takes the battle to new heights.
The action of this map pushes you outward to the edges of the skyscraper. The game has secret locations that are great for hiding. You also must be prepared to take tarrying leaps of faith in certain areas of the game. The map does not provide much over in the open. Cover can be taken in the service corridors. Short and medium range weapons will work best on this map.
The most dangerous part of the map is the skyscraper itself. If you are not paying attention to the action on the screen and your location on the map, you will venture to close to the edge. It is a long way down so focus on staying in the middle of the map.
Mob of the Dead
