Pokemon Go’s next in-game event is known as Pokemon Air Adventures and will be adding two new Mega Evolutions to the game. Mega Latios and Latias will make their debut in all-new Mega Raids starting on May 3, 2022.
Mega Latias and Latios Make Their Pokemon Go Debut Next Week
You’ll be able to battle against both Latias and Latios in these Mega Raids and will have special moves.
- Mega Latias will know the Charged Attack Mist Ball
- Mega Latios will know the Charged Attack Luster Purge
These additions to the game come just after the announcement of a major rework for Mega Pokemon in Pokemon Go.
The Air Adventures event will also feature a bunch of flying-themed Pokemon appearing in the wild, and yes if you’re lucky you can find a shiny version of them!
- Flying Pikachu
- Jigglypuff
- Meowth
- Psyduck
- Doduo
- Magikarp
- Wingull
- Swablu
- Drifloon
There are two rarer Pokemon that you might come across in the wild if you’re extremely lucky. You can also find shiny versions of these.
- Charizard
- Mantine
Of course, a new event means a brand-new Timed Research for players. Complete the research before the end of the event to earn 50 Latias Mega energy, 50 Latios Mega Energy, 3,000 experience, and an encounter with Flying Pikachu.

You have the chance of finding a shiny in both of the new raid categories.
If you collect 7 Km eggs during the Air Adventures event you’ll be able to hatch Togepi, Mantyke, Emolga, and Noibat.
During the event, any eggs placed in Incubators will require half the walking distance to actually hatch the eggs. Now’s the time to take advantage of that if you’ve been sitting on a bunch of unhatched eggs.
