Despite some server issues during its launch week, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn managed to get a huge audience, drawing them back into a luxurious online fantasy world. That said, Square Enix is ready to expand to new players.
During yesterday’s Sony press conference in Japan, the company confirmed that it will launch its previously announced beta for Final Fantasy XIV on the PlayStation 4, starting on February 22nd. This is for Japan only, and there’s no word when the game will debut in the United States. Considering its popularity at launch, though, it shouldn’t be too far off.
One thing worth noting is that when the final game is available, those who already purchased the game on PlayStation 3 will be able to download the new one at no additional charge.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is available now for Windows PC and PlayStation 3.
