The Drifter Is Heading to Europa In New Destiny 2 Expansion Teaser Trailer

A new Destiny 2 expansion is on the horizon and a new trailer shows off the Drifter heading off to Europa.

Following an accidental leak from Bungie yesterday already sharing the news, a Destiny 2 expansion reveal is officially set for June 9th with a small teaser trailer showing off the tone of the next story step. While the original teaser featuring Eris is still not officially available, the latest Destiny 2 expansion sneak peek is just as cool!

Bungie took to the official Destiny 2 Twitter page to share a first look at the upcoming reveal slated for next week, this time with The Drifter taking center stage as he leaves the docking bay on a trip to Europa. WHile it’s not much, remember; it’s just a teaser, it is interesting to see alongside the previous leak with Eris Morn trudging through an icy worldscape.

With the looming threat of The Darkness and everything leading up to this moment with previous expansions and accompanying events, seeing The Drifter pair up with Eris makes a certain kind of sense on Europa, especially when looking at The Drifter’s lore where he lost his entire squad to the Darkness. Given both characters’ prior experiences with this threat, it will be interesting to see them join forces to tackle it together.

As for the previous leak with Eris, a video was captured before the original post by Bungie was taken down:

We’ll be learning soon enough about what story lies ahead on June 9th, but in the meantime you can catch up with previous leaks about the alleged Bad Omen expansion with our previous coverage below:
