We’re already excited for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, arriving later this year for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Now Konami has even more whipping fun lined up.

The company announced that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, a game that previously came out for Nintendo 3DS earlier this year, will come to consoles in a new high-definition format. Developed by MercurySteam, the same team behind the original release, Mirror of Fate HD will feature three playable characters, along with stunning new visuals and gameplay that returns to the roots of the Castlevania franchise, in side-scrolling fashion.
Mirror of Fate HD releases on October 31st for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. We’ll have a first look in the weeks ahead.
