While all Descendants have their own strengths, weaknesses, and roles, some Descendants will tend to perform better than others in The First Descendant. Depending on the activity, some Descendants will shine but completely fall off in other activities. To carefully list down all the S-tier characters, these Descendants should be strong in all forms of content, especially endgame activities on Hard mode. Here’s a rough list of the strongest Descendants in The First Descendant.

List of All the Strongest Descendants: The First Descendant

Bunny

Bunny is one of the strongest and fastest Descendants in the game. The lightning speedster can massacre unlimited waves of enemies at once without even pulling out her weapon. While these types of builds heavily depend on min-maxing certain Descendant modules, she is a great DPS overall in all forms of content.

Strengths: Special Operations

Gley

Gley is probably the strongest Descendant when it comes to raw shooting ability. All her skills revolve around improving damage output with your weapons through a Frenzied State. However, you’ll also take more damage when this is active, but you can also enter the Non-Frenzied State to lessen the damage taken and recover.

Her passive is basically a lifesteal mechanic where you steal Life Spheres from defeated enemies, but you’ll have to get them to heal. It takes a while to get used to swapping between states, but you will feel the increased damage output from your weapons immediately when using her.

Strengths: Void Intercept Battles or bosses

Yujin

Yujin is in quite a tough spot since his power depends on the strength of his teammates. However, a great Yujin player will always keep the team up as the game’s best healer or medic. All his skills heal or buff his allies, and combining Yujin with an Ajax will surely be one of the main compositions in finishing difficult content. While it can be hard to use when playing with random players, you can always pre-emptively use the Stimulation buff to allies and save them from dangerous attacks.

Strengths: Any content with a party

Valby

Valby is a decent Non-Attribute Descendant, but her debuffs uplift her above the rest. Her Laundry debuff reduces the Electric and Non-Attribute resistances of the enemies, and this debuff is easily spread using all her abilities. Since one of the most used DPS Descendants right now is Bunny and Non-Attribute Descendants like Ajax, the debuff usually gets value.

She is one of the most mobile Descendants with two mobility skills, including a great ultimate to contain those pesky elite enemies. She’s not that far from Viessa in terms of power, but since she synergizes well with most of the Descendants, she is way more efficient.

Strengths: Above average in all forms of content as a DPS debuffer

Ajax

Ajax’s role is a staple in any group. His shields alone can turn the tides of battle, and if you stack more HP to strengthen the shield, you’ll never have to worry about incoming projectiles. Currently, Ajax is the only one who can put up two barriers, which provides one of the best support or utility skills in the game. He can also stun using his mobility skills when things get dire.

Strengths: All forms of group content

In the end, it all depends on whether you can unlock the Descendants you need. Even the Descendants not on the list will still have value when built and played correctly. If you are not interested in playing those Descendants, you’ll still need them, especially when opening Void Fragments tied to a specific attribute.
