Microsoft Officially Holding Next Xbox Event On May 21st

We'll know everything in just a few weeks time.

Talk about the next Xbox console from Microsoft has been swirling for months, with some folks wondering about the possibility of “always on” Internet connectivity, backwards compatibility and so forth.  Some of those questions may finally be answered later next month.

Microsoft has confirmed that it will be holding a next Xbox event on May 21st to lift the veil off its highly anticipated “Durango” console.  The company posted the news today on its Facebook page stating that a “New Generation” will be “Revealed”, along with the logo above.  The event will be broadcast live across GameTrailers and Xbox Live, and will also air on Spike TV.

It’s great to see that Microsoft is getting the jump on E3 with its major announcement.  We’ll bring you the official word on the “Durango” (or whatever its final name is) on the 21st, so be sure to check back for fresh info.
