Word Connect Tips and Tricks

If you’re having trouble with Word Connect, then don’t sweat it. These things are meant to be challenging, and you’ll probably find yourself scratching your head more often than not as you progress through the later levels of the game.

If you’re having lots of trouble in the game, you can always take a look at our guide on all puzzle solutions in Word Connect. We’ll be updating it constantly with new levels, so be sure to give it a peek to see if your level is in there already.

Now that the intro is out of the way, let’s dive into the good stuff.

Ask for Help

If you find yourself stumped too hard on a puzzle, then there’s nothing wrong with asking your friends for help. Thankfully, Word Connect has a nice little feature built in, that will allow you to post about the puzzle in question by sending your friend a screenshot of the level. This is very helpful in later levels, where the words get much more complicated, and your friend could be the only thing standing between you and complete victory. So, don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it. That’s why the option is there.

Scramble the Letters

Having a hard time figuring out which words you’re missing? Go ahead and tap that scramble button in the bottom right of the screen. This will take the letters in the level and scramble them around, giving you a new outlook on them. This can help break and blocks you hit, especially when you have a lot more letters to work with. This is a really useful feature we’d suggest taking advantage of, and the best part about it is the fact that you don’t have to pay any of your precious coins to activate it.

Hints to Live By

Finally, if you’re really having trouble getting a puzzle solved, and scrambling the letters around hasn’t helped, and your friends aren’t responding to your pleas for knowledge, then you can always pay 120 coins to get a hint. This hint will highlight one random letter of a word you haven’t solved yet, which can give you a nice starting point towards solving that particular word. Of course, you might need to use that hint option a couple of times if you’re really having trouble, but altogether we’d recommend saving it for your last resort.

If you keep these tips in mind, then you shouldn’t have much trouble getting through even the most complicated levels in Word Connect. A lot of people don’t think to use these options—which are clearly at your disposal—and that’s why you see a lot of users getting hung up on some of the more difficult levels. As mentioned above, we do have a guide that features all Word Connect puzzle solutions, which we’ll be updating constantly throughout the coming days.
