How to Fast Travel in We Happy Few

Here’s how to quickly travel between islands and safe houses in We Happy Few.

There’s a lot of ground to cover in We Happy Few, and traveling entirely on foot isn’t the most efficient way to move from one island to the next. Luckily, the game features a fast-travel function, which allows you to quickly warp between designated locations so that you can revisit areas you’ve been to before.  Here’s what you’ll need to do in order to fast travel throughout Wellington Wells in We Happy Few.

As you explore new areas in the game, you’ll discover various underground hatches and bunkers that act as Safe Houses. These hatches are connected to one another by a vast tunnel system that interconnects each island.

Safe House Hatches

Each underground Safe House features a hatch door that can be used to fast travel to other hatches. The first hatch you discover is in Barrow Holm during the prologue. Before you can begin fast traveling to other areas, you must first discover and gain access to new Safe Houses containing their own hatch doors.

You will need to turn on the power and flip the switch at each hatch location in order to reach its underground Safe House bunker. Doing so will usually require several tools, including lockpicks and jimmy bars, which can be crafted in the Crafting menu in your inventory.

How to Fast Travel

After you have visited more than one hatch location, you will be able to fast travel to any other hatch that you’ve previously discovered. You can fast travel at any time, as long as you aren’t in combat.

To view your available fast travel points, open up your map and look for arrow icons labeled as Track Access Hatch locations. Click on the hatch icon for the location you wish to fast travel to, then press the Travel button on the next window prompt to fast travel to the location.

It’s as easy as that. Fast traveling is the most efficient way to trek across Wellington Wells, so don’t be afraid to do so often. Check out some of our other We Happy Few guides for more tips and tutorials.
