With over 70 characters to unlock, players have their work cut out for them in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. But, if you want your roster to be full, then you’re definitely going to want to add Pichu to the list. Thankfully, unlocking this character isn’t all that difficult, and we’ll show you everything you need to know to unlock Pichu down below.
How to Unlock Pichu
As with most characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, players can unlock Pichu quite a few different ways, all of which we have outlined below.
Unlock Pichu in VS Mode
The first way to unlock Pichu is to compete in VS mode and wait for Pichu to approach you as a random challenger. Each time you take part in Vs mode, you’ll have a chance of a random challenger approaching you after a few fights. The only bad thing is that unlocking Pichu this way will take you quite a bit as characters unlock as random challengers in a certain order, and Pichu is 34th in the list, which means you’ll want a while.
Unlock Pichu in World of Light
You can also unlock Pichu in World of Light. To do so you will need to make your way through the World of Light until you reach the Power Plant Zone. Here you can take on this cute Pokemon and unlock it for your roster.
How to Unlock Pichu in Classic Mode
The best way to unlock Pichu is going to be to play through Classic Mode. This will allow you to focus your runs until you can unlock the character. First, you’re going to need to unlock a few characters along the way.
Start off by playing through Classic Mode using Pikachu. This will unlock Villager, which you can then use to replay Classic Mode and unlock Shulk. With Shulk unlocked, replay classic mode to unlock R.O.B.
With R.O.B. unlocked, replay Classic Mode to unlock Mega Man. Now that you have Mega Man unlocked, you will need to replay Classic Mode to unlock Isabelle.
With Isabelle unlocked, replay Classic Mode to unlock Game & Watch. Finally, replay Classic Mode to unlock Pichu, adding this cute little Pokemon to your roster.
