Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2013, as you could tell from our recently posted preview. However, it looks like it may be headed to more platforms than we anticipated.

When the game was announced earlier this year, it was confirmed across the board for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC – a nice change of pace from what happened with the previous release, Splinter Cell: Conviction. However, some in-store advertising has revealed that the sequel is also in the works for Nintendo's Wii U platform.

Though Ubisoft hasn't confirmed the game for Wii U as of yet, it wouldn’t be a surprise, as the company is an avid supporter of the platform. Assassin's Creed III and ZombiU are already coming to the system as launch titles, and Rayman Legends will be following soon thereafter within the "launch window".

We'll have more details once the company confirms that the game's coming. In the meantime, we suggest working on your quick kill skills. They may be getting rusty…
