Scavenger Hunt: Big Gay Al’s Big Gay Cats

To start the Scavenger Hunt: Big Gay Al’s Big Gay Cats side mission, head over to Big Gay Al’s house, which is located on the middle road, to the right of The Playground basketball courts. This quest isn’t available immediately, but should become available after you get your second set of classes. Big Gay Al will likely be standing outside. Walk up and talk to him to begin this quest.

Once the quest has been activated, you need to hunt down and capture all of Big Gay Al’s missing cats. More often than not, this means you will need the TimeFart Pause ability that you learned during the Medicinal Fried Fiasco main mission. If you don’t have that ability yet, you won’t be able to capture most of the cats. In addition, to get to the areas where many of the cats are located, you will need the Buddy Power Diabetic Rage, which is unlocked during the Bowels of the Beast main mission. For Big Gay Blossom and Bogie you also need to be able to get past the lava LEGO blocks, which require you to complete The Hundred Hands of Chaos main mission.

When you collect all of Big Gay Al’s cats, head back to his house and speak with him to get the Feline Costume Set and Snowcat Costume Set. You can also take a selfie with Big Gay Al once you’ve collected all of the cats.

Big Gay Al’s Cat Locations

Big Gay Blossom

  • Location: SoDoSoPa (far right side of town)
  • Abilities Required: Buddy Power Fartkour, Buddy Power Sandblaster

Once you’ve completed the The Hundred Hands of Chaos main mission and obtained the Buddy Power Sandblaster, you can clear the lava LEGO blocks covering the doorway that leads into Kenny’s backyard. Head into his backyard and through the hole in the fence to the far left. There’s a flashlight hanging down near a pinwheel.

Use the Buddy Power Fartkour to get up to the second floor, then stand next to Kyle so you can Fartkour again to reach the ladder above. Climb the ladder, then break the wooden pallet to the left and walk out onto the wooden beam to pick up Big Gay Blossom. From here you can Fartkour to the top and collect the Panther Suit, Panther Gloves and Panther Mask from the crate on the top floor.

Big Gay Bogie

  • Location: North of Hillvale Farm (upper right corner of map)
  • Abilities Required: Snap N Pop Fireworks, TimeFart Pause

Before you can get to Big Gay Bogie, you need to complete the Hundred Hands of Chaos main mission, giving you access to SoDoSoPa, which leads to Hillvale Farm (go through SoDoSoPa to U-Stor-It, then head right). When you reach the man blocking your path, use a TimeFart Pause and quickly move the nearby barrel of member berries to the left or right of him so you block his movement.

Head past the man and into the next screen. As soon as you reach the next screen, Big Gay Bogie is in a tree in the upper left corner. Use a Snap N Pop firecracker to break the branch, then as soon as Bogie hits the ground, use TimeFart Pause and grab Bogie before the cat runs into a bush. Don’t forget to pick up the Memberer Berries to the right of the Canada sign before you leave.

Big Gay Bono

  • Location: South Park Church Fast Travel point, left of the church
  • Abilities Required: Snap N Pop Fireworks, TimeFart Pause

Big Gay Bono is located to the left of the South Park Church Fast Travel point. You need to stand in front of the tree and use a Snap N Pop firecracker to break the branch. As soon as the cat hits the ground, use the TimeFart Pause to stop time. This allows you to collect the cat before it runs into the bushes.

Big Gay Kirby

  • Location: Bebe’s House (bottom road, to the right of the school and community center)
  • Abilities Required: Snap N Pop Fireworks, TimeFart Pause

Head to Bebe’s house, which is the last house on the block before you reach the Community Center and South Park Elementary. The cat is stuck in the tree to the left of the house. To catch Big Gay Kirby, you need to use a Snap N Pop firework to break the tree branch, then use TimeFart Pause as soon as the cat hits the ground.

Big Gay Loki

  • Location: South Park Mall
  • Abilities Required: TimeFart Pause

Big Gay Loki is located to the right of the South Park Mall construction site. Stand around the end of the construction area and use TimeFart Pause to stop time. Run over to Big Gay Loki and pick him up for Big Gay Al.

Big Gay Shadow

  • Location: Between Photo Dojo and The Playground
  • Abilities Required: TimeFart Pause

Big Gay Shadow is located in the snow between Photo Dojo and The Playground, along the middle road. You can see the Bijou Theater in the background when you’re in the correct area. The easiest way to catch Big Gay Shadow is to move around to the Playground side, then “zone” into the screen to the left where Shadow is located. As soon as the screen shifts to the new location, activate the TimeFart Pause. This stops Shadow from running into the bush and gives you plenty of time to catch the cat.
