Rage 2 is almost here and the colorful wasteland from Bethesda looks to be an explosive adventure where literally everything and its mother is trying to kill you. With a variety of enemies and various factions to take on, many might have a few questions about what the heckin’ heck the game is even about. Luckily, a new trailer aims to answer all of them.

“You know how most games have either guns OR cars OR open worlds OR superpowers? RAGE 2 says “nah” to OR and “hell yeah” to AND AND AND AND AND…” boasts the trailer’s official description as it shows off a little bit of everything the game has to offer and why.

From bikes, to giant mutants – to a massive asteroid looking to destroy the earth and everything you love. It’s the ultimate payback title and even better? Playing the first game isn’t at all required to get in on the action.

While the first Rage had its fair share of issues, including a lack of fluid progression and a bit of monotony. Rage 2 learned from that and is going all in with making sure that players feel fulfilled when laying out total mayhem.

Ready to let your inner chaos run free? Rage 2 releases on May 14th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC players.

For more about the game before its arrival next month:

“An asteroid has annihilated 80% of the earth’s population, and humanity’s numbers are dwindling. Ruthless and bloodthirsty gangs roam the open roads and the tyrannical Authority seek to rule with an iron fist,” Bethesda said about Rage 2. “As Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland and a threat to their power, you have been robbed of your home and left for dead. Now you’ll have to rage for justice and freedom. With ludicrous vehicle combat, super-powered first-person mayhem, and an open world full of emergent madness, you will tear across an unforgiving wasteland battling sadistic gangs to find the tools and tech needed to crush the oppressive rule of The Authority once and for all.”
