How to Save

There are two different ways you can save your game in Ni No Kuni 2. The first is by entering the party menu (hit the touch pad on PS4), then pressing Option (on PS4). This pulls up a second menu that allows you to save your game, load a previous save, open the general game options, or return to the title screen.

As long as you’re not in immediate danger, you can save your progress through this menu. However, if you’re near enemies, in battle, or in a Dreamer’s Maze, you won’t be able to save this way. You’ll need to move to a safer location before the game will allow you to save your progress.

An alternative way to save your progress is by accessing Waystones. These glowing stones replenish your party’s HP and MP, then allow you to save your game. You can do this over and over again with no negative impact on your party or progress, so every time you see a Waystone be sure to check it out.
