Mass Effect: Andromeda – All Plants vs. Zombies Easter Eggs

The newest Mass Effect game has some interesting throwbacks to other EA titles in it.

Many developers and publishers have become known for including Easter eggs from some of their games in other titles that they release, and many may remember the Grass Effect promotion that Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 had a while back. The Grass Effect promotion, which focused around PopCap’s fun third-person shooter featured a special Mass Effect inspired character, the Z7 Imp. To return the favor, BioWare has included at least two special Plants vs. Zombies themed Easter eggs in Mass Effect: Andromeda, which we’ll show you how to find below.

PeaShooter and Zombie Scientist Plushies

Players can find the first Plants vs. Zombies Easter eggs down in the Crew Quarters of the Tempest, which means they’ll need to complete the opening hours of the game and make their way to the Nexus. Once you have the Tempest, make your way down the ladder near the bridge entrance, and head through the bathroom and into the Crew Quarters. These two little plushies can be found on the bottom bunk closest to the bathroom.

What’s really cool about these Easter eggs is that these plushies look eerily similar to the PvZ styled plushies seen around the various levels of Garden Warfare 2, and they are a nice little callback to PopCap and their own Mass Effect Easter eggs.

Z7 Imp

The biggest Plants vs. Zombies Easter egg comes in the form of the Z7 Imp. While it isn’t an entirely new character, like PopCap did, players can find a small statuette of the Z7 Imp in the Pathfinder’s Quarters. Once you have the Tempest, head down to Deck 3 and make your way to the front of the ship. Here you’ll find the Pathfinder’s Quarters.

Enter the Pathfinder’s room and then turn to the right, and look for a small desk in the corner of the room. Here you’ll find an area where you can talk to SAM, as well as access to Ryder’s emails. The Z7 Imp can be found sitting on the desk beside the email terminal.

It should be noted, though, that we were unable to find the Z7 Imp on our desk before completing the Remnant vault on Eos. Whether the game’s progression is actually tied to the Easter eggs appearance is unclear at this time, but if it isn’t appearing, try checking back later for a better look at it.

Those are all of the Plants vs. Zombies Easter eggs that have been found so far. Know of some we missed? Be sure to let us know in the comments so we can get them added!
