Marvel’s Midnight Suns Doesn’t Have Romance, but It Does Have Some Sick New Gameplay

The gameplay showed off some of the character creation tool for the player character known as “The Hunter” a brand-new Marvel hero designed specifically for this game.

Your base of operations, The Abby, is home to the Midnight Suns and will be where you talk to your teammates and upgrade abilities in-between missions. There is hours of exploration, daily activities, and even go on walks with Tony Stark. This is used to build and enhance your relationships with your teammates.

The gameplay showed environments like New York City rooftops, underground Hydra facilities, and even some sun-bleached deserts. You’ll play alongside iconic Marvel heroes like Blade, Dr/ Strange, Iron Man, and so many more.

Each character has its own unique set of abilities and finishing moves. You can even combine abilities for ultimate team-up attacks. You’ll be able to customize your abilities using a suite of different cards to bring new and evolving abilities into each fight.

The Hunter has a different set of powers that allows you to build it out the way you want to play. You can be a more support-based hero or you can channel the powers of darkness to deal extra damage at an increased cost to you and your team.

The team at Firaxis was adamant about how important it is the build friendships with your heroes outside of combat. They did confirm there won’t be any romance, unfortunately, you’ll just be close friends. Won’t stop us from dreaming about a romance with Ghost Rider though.
