Offensive Scouting Report

QB Russell Wilson has two years remaining on his contract. We suggest you sign him long-term now and lock up the league’s best young quarterback.

HB Marshawn Lynch can take over games with his power and speed. Run your offense through him and give him the ball early and often.

The Seahawks’ passing offense goes through WR Percy Harvin and his big-play ability. Get him the ball on WR screens and quick passes over the middle.

Defensive Scouting Report

The defensive line for the Seahawks is a dream come true for any defensive coordinator. You have pass-rushing defensive ends as well as run-stopping defensive tackles. You do lack depth here, so replenish it in the draft and in free agency.

The linebackers for the Seahawks have the speed to cover receivers in the open field. This allows you to stay in base coverages for the majority of the game.

The Legion of Boom is in full effect heading into the 2014 season. This is the best secondary in football and will be the anchor of the Seahawks.

There is no one Sherman can’t defend. Use him to lock down your opponent’s number one option.

Leave Sherman in one-on-one situations with no help over the top.

Lockette is a great matchup for our offense against opposing teams’ dime corners.

Use him solely on vertical routes downfield.

KEY ROOKIE

Work on Richardson’s strength during the season. He desperately needs an upgrade.

Richardson will be a work in progress, but he has the potential to be a solid contributor to this offense.

Best Offensive Plays

Best Pass

Gun Bunch WK —Z Spot
ADVANCED SETUP

Wheel the HB

Against zone coverage your reads are the spot route over the middle of the field and the deep post route.

Against man-to-man coverage look to the corner route.

Against the blitz look to the HB’s wheel route out of the backfield.

Best Run

Gun Trio Offset — Inside Zone
ADVANCED SETUP

Follow your blocks inside

This run gets upfield quickly and will be the staple of your offense.

Don’t try to bounce this run outside; you won’t have any success.

Best Defensive Plays

Best Pass D

Nickel Wide 9 —Sugar Cover 3 Bluff
ADVANCED SETUP

Base align

If you want to bring pressure with this play, globally blitz your linebackers.

For extra coverage on this play hot route your defensive ends into zone coverage.

Watch out for passes to the deep corner and seams.

Best Run D

46 Bear Under — LB Dogs 3
ADVANCED SETUP

Show blitz

User-control the FS off the left edge as your run support is weak there.

Here we stop the offense for a short gain.
