How to Unlock Fast Travel

Unfortunately, the fast travel ability isn’t unlocked right from the start of the game. Thankfully, you won’t need it that much during the first few hours, but once the Banga Settlement makes its way to Jirga Para Lhao, the world really opens up and becomes much bigger. For the first few hours of the game, you’ll only be able to fly everywhere using Kat’s gravity powers, however, after completing a certain percentage of the main story missions, Kat will discover her first Manhole within the market near Banga Settlement in Jirga Para Lhao. Once you have discovered this first Manhole, the ability to fast travel becomes available.

Before you can simply start jumping around the world, though, you are going to have to find more Manholes. These can be fairly tough to locate in the bright and beautiful world of Gravity Rush 2, so we’ve put together a quick lesson to help you find Manholes quickly.

How to Easily Find Manholes

When soaring through the air, look for colored circles on the ground. Once you have located a colored circle, fly in closer to take note of the rings that seem to be radiating out from the ground. This signifies a Manhole, which you can walk up to and activate to unlock it for fast traveling. After you have found several of the Manholes hidden around the game’s world, you can begin to use them to fast travel between locations quickly. This makes travel time much more bearable, though we wouldn’t write out flying around just yet, as there are still collectibles available for players to find in the game world.

Altogether there are a total of 21 Manholes for players to find. These are hidden throughout the game’s world and in the various cities that make up the single player campaign. Find each and every one of the Manholes to allow Kat to make her way around the city as quickly as possible.

That’s everything you need to know about fast travel in Gravity Rush 2. If you aren’t up for making your way around the world as fast as possible, or just want to enjoy the fantastic vistas offered by the game’s world, you can still ignore the Manholes and simply use Kat’s gravity powers to fly around the city. When you’re ready to continue, dive deeper into the game with our Gravity Rush 2 guide, where you’ll find plenty of information on things like how to get more Precious Gems and how to find more Talismans.
