How to Check for Challenge Missions

While you can stumble across Challenge Missions in the open world, more often than not, your best way of checking for these tricky missions is to open up your Options Menu. Once in the menu, scroll down to Missions. It is in this area that you will see various options for Story Missions, Side Missions, and Challenge Missions. Scroll down and select Challenge Missions to see any missions available at the moment.

How to Accept Challenges You Receive

Players can also receive other challenges from the game servers when they are connected to the internet. This asynchronous multiplayer aspect allows other Gravity Rush 2 players to complete challenges and then send their results out to the world. You’ll see these items in the Announcements area of the Options menu. From here you can select them and try to beat the record set by the player that sent out the challenge. Keep in mind that you cannot retry these challenges over and over again like you can with the ones that you set, but beating the records set by someone else will reward you with more Dusty Tokens.

How to Do Challenge Missions

The objectives required for Challenge Missions vary. Some missions will only require you to defeat enemies within a certain amount of time, while others will require you to use one of Kat’s various Gravity Styles to complete specific objectives. You can always see what the Challenge Mission entails by looking at its title and description. The title appears in the mission list, and the description appears on the left side of the screen, where it is easily visible with the menu.

When you’ve found a mission you want to do, select it, and dive in to get started. If you’re sending out the challenge, you can retry the challenge as many times as you want. If you receive a challenge, though, you’ll have to beat the record in one try to win Dusty Tokens. Learn more about Dusty Tokens and their uses with our complete guide.

Why Can’t I do a Challenge Mission?

Due to the nature of story points later in the game, some missions will become unavailable after you complete a specific Story Mission in Gravity Rush 2. These items are marked by a blue circle with a line through the middle of it. This means you cannot reach the area where that mission takes place, so you’re going to have to ignore it for the time being.

There isn’t much else to talk about when it comes to Challenge Missions. Players can partake in their own challenges, or wait and answer the challenges set forth by other players. Completing challenges will earn you more Dusty Tokens, which can be used to unlock a wide variety of things. To learn more about Kat’s latest adventure, check out our Gravity Rush 2 guide.
