Diablo 3 Coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 September 3

Say goodbye to console exclusivity.

Blizzard shook up the gaming world with the announcement of a release date for the console version of Diablo 3. Not only is the game coming to PlayStation 3, but it’s also appearing on Xbox 360 as well.  Both games are scheduled for release on September 3 worldwide, and will come with all the “major content and design updates” from the original release, as well as enhanced gameplay options specifically tailored for controllers.

The game is still coming to PlayStation 4 sometime later in the year, but there’s no word yet on whether this title will possibly hit Xbox One as well.  Said a Blizzard rep, “We’re excited for console players to get their hands on Diablo 3, but we don’t have any further platform announcements to share at this time.”

Expect a Diablo 3 first look in the weeks ahead.
