How to Complete the Purification Ritual

The only way to get this bounty (or any version of it, as the bounty does changed often), players must make an Offering to the Oracle in Destiny 2: Forsaken’s Dreaming City. Once you get the bounty, you’ll need to complete the task that it gives you. If you happen to get this particular task, then this guide will help you out. If you get another version, then be sure to check out our other Destiny 2 guides for help finding the solution to your version of the bounty.

With that out of the way, let’s dive right in. If you are tasked with defeating any Plague of the Well, then you’re going to need meet a few requirements before you have any real chance at success.

First, you’re going to need to score yourself some Tincture of Queensfoil. Luckily, we’ve already got a handy guide on how to get that ready for you.

Second, you’re going to need to get yourself a Charge of Light – Tier III.

You’ll also need to acquire an Unstable Charge of Light.

When you’ve got those items, the final step is to get together a strong Fireteam and prepare for battle.

While you could bring along some weaker Fireteam members, we’d suggest bringing along the strongest gear and items that you have as you’ll be taking part in one of the Heroic Blind Well events that you can trigger using an Unstable Charge of Light.

Once you trigger the Heroic Blind Well event, go ahead and use a Tincture of Queensfoil as well to become Ascendant. Now you need to work with the other players in the area to completely clear out the event and complete it. Now, the boss that you have to take on at the end is different, as each week brings a new Heroic Blind Well boss for you and your friends to defeat. These bosses are referred to as “Plague of the Blind Well” which you can use to determine if you’re taking on the right boss for your bounty. Like other events in Destiny 2, you don’t need to score the killing blow to get credit, but you should focus as much damage on this enemy as possible to remove the risk of possibly not getting credit and having to do it again.

With the bounty completed, turn it in from your inventory and then you can start purifying a part of your Reverie Armor, which will remove the negative curse left on it when you originally acquired it.
