Blizzard revealed their new animated World of Warcraft series Afterlives to set the stage for the upcoming expansion Shadowlands back in March, and we've already gotten the first episode. Now it's time to feast those same eyes on episode 2, an episode that revisits Draka called Maldraxxus.
"Draka, orc of the Frostwolf Clan, was not a warrior born, but a warrior made," reads the latest episode's official description. "In the fires of battle that forge the armies of the Maldraxxus, Draka must learn that nothing and no one - not even she - is what they seem."
Like episode one, this is a short animated experience with more focus on stylization than actual animation. While not the 30-minute adventures many were hoping for, the lore is important for the new expansion ahead, and this short series also allows a deeper look into the characters that have impacted the story thus far, and those that have much more to contribute to the ongoing narrative.
The upcoming Shadowlands expansion is going to take the game in a much darker place than ever before and the betrayal seen from the Horde side will come to a head with Sylvanas and her journey for power. With new locations, vampire parties, and a haunting new story, Afterlives looks to set the stage for players itching for a new adventure.
