Wizard World is gearing up for an exciting 2020 and to do that, Wizard Entertainment is partnering up with Shacknews, HyperX, and Microsoft to bring back the popular Esports Lounge from last year to even more events for the year ahead.

If you liked the HyperX Esports Lounge powered by Shacknews at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, then you're definitely going to want to tune in because Wizard World is going even bigger this year with prizes from some of the biggest names in gaming today and a competitive experience that even the most casual of player can enjoy.

The first of the line-up marks Shacknews' second big event this year following CES with the Esports Lounge taking over Portland, Cleveland, St. Louis, Chicago, and more. Earn HyperX swag, get your competitive gaming on, play on Xbox and PC courtesy of Microsoft - it's going to be an absolute blast and a fun environment crashing the pop culture scene.

“Shacknews is celebrating our 24th year of providing players with top-notch esports, gaming, and technology content," says Shacknews CEO Asif Khan when talking about the 2020 lineup and the upcoming Wizard World Portland showcase, Shack's second event this year. "We are happy to join HyperX to help showcase our love of video games with their attendees.”

The Shacknews' Esports Lounge at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 saw over 4,500 gamers visiting the area on a daily basis for a chance to game, hangout, and win some sick prizes, it's no surprise that even more lounges would be on the way. Con-goers can expect to get their hands on competitive games like SoulCalibur VI, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Mortal Kombat 11, Tekken 7, and more on some of today's hottest tech thanks to Alienware, Microsoft, and HyperX.

“We are excited to be bringing the HyperX Esports Lounge powered by Shacknews to gamers across the country, working with some of the largest and most unique shows and live entertainment environments,” said Daniel Kelley, Director of HyperX Corporate Marketing. “Our range of gaming products help all types of gamers enjoy gaming and we’re excited to partner with Shacknews and Microsoft for this Wizard World event. We appreciate working with a well-established part of the gaming community in Shacknews as they bring their content and gaming expertise to these events.”

"The Esports Lounge at Wizard World is a great opportunity to provide attendees with a true esports experience," added Bryan Dawson, the Head of Esports at Greenlit Content.
