In Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6’s opening cinematic, players are introduced to a character called The Foundation. After watching him land a few punches on Jonesy, we hear The Foundation talk and the voice sounds eerily familiar.
While we don’t know for certain who voices The Foundation, there’s one pervasive fan theory that seems to have a bit of weight to it. Here’s who we – and others – think the voice actor for The Foundation might be in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6.
Who is the Voice Actor for The Foundation in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6?
The ongoing theory when it comes to the voice actor behind The Foundation in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Now, there are a number of reasons why people are pointing to The Rock being the voice actor for The Foundation.
First, The Foundation’s voice on its own sounds reminiscent of The Rock’s although The Foundation’s voice is distorted which makes it challenging to do a side-by-side comparison.
Second, the visual design of The Foundation hints at ties to The Rock. Looking at The Foundation, their upper right arm and chest share similarities with a tattoo that The Rock has in the same spot – his right arm and upper right chest.
And finally, and perhaps most convincingly, The Rock posted a video to his Instagram account a few days ago with a description that reads, “the foundation ®️ 🃏.” In the video, The Rock talks about March 16 being a “big day” which coincides perfectly with the launch date of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6.
He also mentions “connective tissue” between his world and another world. Below, we’ve transcribed everything The Rock says in his Instagram video, which you can watch in full here.

“The date is March 16th and it’s a little bit before midnight, so in a few minutes it’s going to be March 17th. You’re like ‘no shit Rock’ and I know you know, I just wanted to catch you before March 16th ended because March 16th, 2021 around the world – today was a big day. Man, today was a big day.
Now, of course today is a meaningful day dependent on where you’re at in the world and what you have going on in your world. But in a certain world, and in a certain culture, today was a big day. And there is connective tissue between that world and my world, and that culture and my culture, and that DNA and my DNA.
And that is… as I continue to put in the work with my own two hands and continue to fuck these callouses up as we all do – we all put in the work – this is all done to strengthen and evolve and grow the power and the force known as the foundation.”

The Rock ends the video with his signature eyebrow raise. Given that the date matches up with the launch of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 and The Rock is talking about the date being meaningful in “a certain world” it certainly sounds compelling when it comes to the theory that he voices The Foundation.
Nevermind the fact that he specifically says the words “the foundation” at the end of the video and in the video’s description.
Other clues that point to The Rock being the voice actor of The Foundation include the fact that data miners discovered information where The Foundation’s section of dialogue in the game is tucked away in a folder labeled “DJ” which can be tied to The Rock’s name, Dwayne Johnson.
So, while there’s no explicit confirmation as of the time of this writing that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the voice actor of The Foundation in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6, all signs seem to point to this being correct.
