Which SNES Games to Play On Your Nintendo Switch

One of my favorite games to this day is Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts. This action side-scrolling title was actually the third in the Ghosts ‘n Goblins serious and has players don upgradable armor while saving the kidnapped princess from the hordes of demons and other oogly booglies. It’s the standard princess trope but it was solid during this particular era and continues to be a cult classic to this day. Plus, in this one you can jump. Woo!

F-Zero continues to be my favorite racing game (take that, Cruisin’ World) because of its flawless mechanics and Tron-like feel. Set in the year 2560, the world of F-Zero was futuristic to the T ran by billionaires and scientists alike and let’s be real – there was Captain Falcon: ‘nough said.

You can’t go wrong with the classic Super Mario Kart experience, seeing the franchise’s humble beginnings in all its pixelated glory. Plus taking all of those memorable tracks on the go? Yes, please!

Demon’s Crest is another one that you definitely shouldn’t sleep on. It’s a magical tale that thrusts players into a world dedicated to the elements. There are six magical stones that make up Crests made up of the elements that when combined offer total power. The game itself kicks off when Phalanx begins his attempt at control by gathering the Crests while Firebrand, the demon that held five of the stones, remained imprisoned.

There are battles, there are spells, there’s a beautiful hint of RPG elements. It’s a great game, definitely worth checking out!

And finally, dun dun DUN, our last pick: Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. No, seriously – you’d be surprised how many people missed out on this one the first go-around and are just now enjoying Link in this setting for the first time. This was a game that defined a genre, something that continued to be a basis for how RPGs played and world exploration was approached.

And there you have it! Those are our recommendations! For the full list of games available, with more coming soon:
