What did you think of this week’s PlayStation Showcase?

It was… okay? Pretty neat? I dunno it was kind of annoying how much space Marvel took up. Feels like a corporate body mashing the “DO ANOTHER ONE” button over and over. I do like Wolverine though.

Thoughts on God of War: Ragnarok after seeing the trailer for it?

I was pretty tuned out to be honest. The last game was fun but not my thing. This is more of that, so yeah.

How do you feel about Sony charging $10 for next-gen upgrades with the exception of Horizon Forbidden West?

I don’t really have a solid opinion one way or another. I never expected upgrade options to begin with considering last generation, so having them at all seems like a plus?

Are you surprised by the Apple vs. Epic ruling?

I think it’s very funny that Apple got in trouble for something that was barely part of the case, the rest of which was pretty thoroughly shot down. A trial this silly could only have had a silly outcome and that’s what we got.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?

I always love reading Morgan reviews because of how very different they are from mine. It’s like stepping into a new space.

Playing any fun games this weekend?

If I don’t hit Stormblood in Final Fantasy XIV this weekend I might just quit being a Gamer.

Do you have any TV, movie, music, or anime recommendations that you’ve been enjoying that you’d like to share?

All Elite Wrestling has been pretty cool, but in the past few weeks it’s been super rad. CM Punk is the man.

Bonus question, if you could cosplay any video game character without limit (resources, time, etc.) which one(s) would you pick to dress up as?

I’ve had a Crust Punk Bowser cosplay idea foating around in my head for years i’ve never had the cash to try putting it together.

What did you think of this week’s PlayStation Showcase?

I liked it quite a bit, a little bummed that there’s no real reason to turn on my PS5 this year, but the future is looking pretty bright.

Thoughts on God of War: Ragnarok after seeing the trailer for it?

I was already sold on another God of War game, and my biggest complaint was the lack of enemy variety, which this trailer showed a ton of new enemies. So I’m pretty excited.

How do you feel about Sony charging $10 for next-gen upgrades with the exception of Horizon Forbidden West?

It really sucks, considering how much easier it’s been on Xbox. PlayStation has really been fumbling it with all of this and they continue to just not care.

Are you surprised by the Apple vs. Epic ruling?

A little, but ultimately I think epic just wanted it more and it’s time for Apple to change its ways.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?

No question it’s Morgan’s Life is Strange: True Colors review. It’s such a great read and y’all need to read it.

Do you have any TV, movie, music, or anime recommendations that you’ve been enjoying that you’d like to share?

THE CIRCLE SEASON 3 started and I haven’t watched yet but everyone should watch The Circle.

Bonus question, if you could cosplay any video game character without limit (resources, time, etc.) which one(s) would you pick to dress up as?

I’ve always wanted to be Kratos, I just need to get abs. That’s easy right?

What did you think of this week’s PlayStation Showcase?

I thought it was really, really, strong. I was excited to see God of War: Ragnarok, the footage of Project Eve looks rad, and I’m very curious about Tchia!

Thoughts on God of War: Ragnarok after seeing the trailer for it?

I’m stoked, it looks really good. I love the updated design for Atreus, and I mean c’mon it’s God of War… it’s almost guaranteed to be good unless something goes catastrophically wrong.

How do you feel about Sony charging $10 for next-gen upgrades with the exception of Horizon Forbidden West?

I feel like a lot of people don’t mind this, and to some extent I don’t either, I understand it. However, I do feel like Sony should still wait until the PS5 is more readily available because it can come across in some ways as shafting people who haven’t been able to buy a PS5 that actually want to.

Are you surprised by the Apple vs. Epic ruling?

A little to be honest, but hey at least they were able to figure out a ruling that feels… almost fair to both parties? I dunno lol.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?

Huge shoutout to the Tales of Arise review from Lucas, and the spot-on news coverage from Jesse this week. Also throwing in my Life Is Strange review because this game is really special and I feel like everyone should check it out (with lots of tissues at the ready though, it’ll make you cry).

Playing any fun games this weekend?

I’m going to be replaying Life Is Strange for the sake of guides, I wanted to do a bunch today but last minute change of plans has me driving to and from the airport so first thing Monday morning, expect some Life Is Strange guides from me.

Other than that, I may continue my replay of Horizon Zero Dawn. I’m working on a 100% completion run, I’ve always wanted to 100% Horizon Zero Dawn.

Do you have any TV, movie, music, or anime recommendations that you’ve been enjoying that you’d like to share?

My favorite k-pop group Monsta X released a new all-English lyric single that’s absolutely beautiful. And in the music video they give Shownu the zipper shirt Wonho wore in Open Mind, not that that’s important just something I noticed lmao. Anyway check out One Day from Monsta X!

Bonus question, if you could cosplay any video game character without limit (resources, time, etc.) which one(s) would you pick to dress up as?

An easy cosplay I’ve been thinking of doing is Marianne from The Medium, I have an outfit that’s really similar to hers so maybe I’ll do that one of these days and take some photos. I’d also love to cosplay Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn though that’d require a lot of time and probably money to get the costume and props like her spear and bow down.

Other than Aloy, I’d love to cosplay Sephiroth and other Final Fantasy characters like Tifa (though I’d need to be way less self-conscious of my body, working on it lol).
