What did you think of this week’s Pokemon Presents?

Not too shabby! Both of those games had people kinda hesitant, but between then and now a lot of work has clearly been done. Even watching the stream on YouTube, I saw people in the chat being mostly stoked.

Have you checked out Splitgate? If so, what are your thoughts?

I haven’t! The portal stuff has me uninterested, if only because that’s a lot to keep track of and I’m not sure I’d have a good time.

What are your thoughts on Fortnite’s Impostors Mode borrowing a lot from indie game Among Us?

They really just decided to copy and paste that map, didn’t they? It’s such a shameless grab it’s almost comical. At least mix things up so it isn’t visibly recognizable in like less than five seconds!

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?

Always love to see a review from Jesse or Morgan pop up, considering all the space I take up in that section! Also, Morgan’s feature on the above matter was great.

Are you playing any fun or exciting video games this weekend?

Just a little game called No More Heroes III, no big deal.

Do you have any TV, movie, anime, or music recommendations that you’d like to share?

If you’re into wrestling, AEW’s new Rampage show is a great watch. It’s only an hour long, and seems to be super action-packed. Wrestling shows really benefit from shorter runtimes.

Bonus question, what were some of your favorite Flash games online back in the day?

Oh my god. Okay, I lived on Newgrounds way back when. Anything absurdly violent and edgy was my jam obviously. Johnny Rocketfingers was my favorite. I just had to look it up to remember the title, but I remember basically copying it in a programming class in high school one year. Explains a lot, honestly.

What did you think of this week’s Pokemon Presents?

I liked it quite a bit. Love the new Pokemon they are adding to Pokemon Unite as well as all of the stuff they showed off for Pokemon legends: Arceus.

Have you checked out Splitgate? If so, what are your thoughts?

Yeah I’ve been playing a lot of it recently with friends. It’s been a great holdover until Halo comes out. Excited to see what the team at 1047 does with Splitgate when it finally releases.

What are your thoughts on Fortnite’s Impostors Mode borrowing a lot from indie game Among Us?

It sucks to see them blatantly copy the work. After all, though, this is a game where they copied the Battle Royale formula to being with. After that when Apex launched suddenly Fortnite got a pinging system and reboot vans. Not the first time and won’t be the last.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?

I’m really proud of my Twelve Minutes review. It’s a hard game to talk about and a divisive one at that.

Are you playing any fun or exciting video games this weekend?

A bunch of stuff I can’t talk about yet.

Do you have any TV, movie, anime, or music recommendations that you’d like to share?

Just started Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the first time. Excited to see where it goes.

Bonus question, what were some of your favorite Flash games online back in the day?

Played a lot of the original Trials, whatever it was called back then. Also a came where you protected a castle by picking up the invaders and throwing them .

Morgan

What did you think of this week’s Pokemon Presents?

I thought it was alright. I was never big into Diamond and Pearl, Arceus looks interesting so far, that’s about it.

Have you checked out Splitgate? If so, what are your thoughts?

I haven’t checked out Splitgate but I’ve seen a lot of people talking about it and I am intrigued.

What are your thoughts on Fortnite’s Impostors Mode borrowing a lot from indie game Among Us?

I wrote a feature with my thoughts, I think Epic is in the wrong. Not just for this, they’ve been sued for copyright infringement before. Even worse is the Among Us issue is happening now when Fortnite is big on collaborating. Impostors could have been an official collab with the Among Us team, Epic should have taken the opportunity to collab.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?

The feature from Lucas on the Tales of Arise demo, and Jesse’s review of Twelve Minutes.

Are you playing any fun or exciting video games this weekend?

I’ve been slowly working my way back through Horizon Zero Dawn for the sake of enjoyment, will probably play some Tetris, and I’m looking at a few indies this weekend as well.

Do you have any TV, movie, anime, or music recommendations that you’d like to share?

I have a song recommendation that’s not kpop lol. The song is called If Not For You and is from Creed and Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti. For some reason, the song made me cry when I first heard it. I relate so much to the song, especially lately. It just feels nice to hear a song that sounds like how I feel I guess.

Bonus question, what were some of your favorite Flash games online back in the day?

Tetris Friends, without a doubt. I really loved Tetris Friends and the game got me through some really difficult times in my life. Also going to add QWOP to the list, I was both the best and the worst at QWOP.
