Who would be your main in Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl?

I'm a simple man. I see a Ninja Turtle, I pick the Ninja Turtle. Especially since they look really good in this game's trailer footage? Animation overall looks surprisingly great.

What are your thoughts on the Steam Deck, do you plan to buy one?

I reserved one but am not sure if I'll follow through or not. There are definitely plenty of games in my wheelhouse that will run great on it that I often can't be bothered to sit still for in front of a screen. It's pricey though!

Several delay announcements were made this week, did any come as a surprise?

Honestly, I'm really surprised to see that Resident Evil Re;Verse was delayed. That's turning out to be a pain in Capcom's neck.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?

Morgan dropping two good features outta nowhere was a highlight.

Playing any fun or exciting video games this weekend?

I beat Super Metroid for the first time (finally ugh) over the week, so if I have time I'm gonna play Fusion. I've never actually played that one.

Do you have any TV, movie, anime, or music recommendations that you’d like to share?

My go-to when I want some music in the background is GameChop's Video Game Study Lounge stream on YouTube. It can get a little repetitive sometimes though.

Bonus question, what is the weirdest date you’ve ever been on?

I can't think of a wholesome answer for this question so I think I'm pleading the fifth on this one. Sorry!

Jesse

Who would be your main in Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl?

Gonna have to give it to my boy Invader Zim on this one, I mean how could you not?

What are your thoughts on the Steam Deck, do you plan to buy one?

I snagged a pre-order because it seems like a cool thing to have, come time to actually fork over the money maybe I'll feel differently. However, I'm excited for what this could do for the future of handheld gaming.

Several delay announcements were made this week, did any come as a surprise?

Both of those Ubisoft delays seemed pretty surprising. They had a large showcase for both rider's Republic and Rainbow Six so I was certain those would both hit their marks.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?

Lucas posted a pretty stellar interview with the SaGa team that's worth checking out.

Playing any fun or exciting video games this weekend?

 Just some more Monster Hunter Stories 2, and {REDACTED}

Do you have any TV, movie, anime, or music recommendations that you’d like to share?

Still on my MasterChef grind. For those keeping track in three weeks, I've watched 6 seasons and don't plan on stopping just yet.

Bonus question, what is the weirdest date you’ve ever been on?

I don't know about weird but one time I went on a date and we got stuck in 2 hours of traffic trying to get to the restaurant and missed our reservation and then just had to drive back and get something local. That was ummm, awkward.

Morgan

Who would be your main in Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl?

I'm not sure, I think Oblina would probably have some slick moves though so I'll go with Oblina.

What are your thoughts on the Steam Deck, do you plan to buy one?

I think it's cool, and in theory it could potentially do a lot but without one in my hands it's hard to say. I did reserve a pre-order spot or whatever it is you do through Steam, so yes I plan to buy one. Hopefully I don't regret it lol.

Several delay announcements were made this week, did any come as a surprise?

The one for Rainbow Six Quarantine was a surprise given that unlike Riders Republic which has only been delayed about a month, Rainbow Six Quarantine was pushed all the way back to 2022.

Delays are never bad and having the game release in its best possible state is never bad, I was just surprised that with everything we've seen of RSQ, it's been delayed into next year. Very surprising to me.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?

Shoutout to the SaGa interview from Lucas, and the fantastic news coverage from Jesse.

Playing any fun or exciting video games this weekend?

I'm actually planning to try out Final Fantasy XIV. I have it downloaded and ready to go, I've just been waiting for the weekend to be able to give the game my entire focus.

Do you have any TV, movie, anime, or music recommendations that you’d like to share?

The other night I watched an hour long fan-made documentary on the k-pop girl group (G)I-DLE and was fascinated by it, their rise to success came very fast and was very well-deserved. I didn't realize either that the group's leader Soyeon had written their debut track Latata so I'll recommend just the song too if you aren't big into documentaries.

But yeah, what a phenomenally talented group! And bonus trivia fact, Soyeon is the K/DA voice of Akali and Miyeon from (G)I-DLE voices Ahri

Bonus question, what is the weirdest date you’ve ever been on?

Oh my god, ok so I wanted to included this bonus question because I have two really funny answers that I've wanted an excuse to talk about lol. The first was when I was 14, I got to go to a sort of spring dance with a guy I was dating at the time, but before we went to the dance we went to have dinner with his family and it was... odd.

Both of us were fully dressed up, gown and suit, and his family took us to like a "crab feed" dinner in this barn in the middle of nowhere where you had to wear a plastic bib to not get crab on you and yeah the entire dinner was just mountains of crab legs and whatnot. It was very awkward and weird. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate it, it just came as a surprise.

The other is a date I went on to the movies a few years ago. We went to see Tusk, yes that Tusk movie and the theater was completely empty. It was just me and them, watching a guy get turned into a walrus. If you don't know what Tusk is watch the trailer, it's one of the strangest movies I've ever seen lmao.
